Personal Stories from the Diaries of Women- Entry #2

When I was a 12 year old girl, both of my parents died in a murder suicide. As one can imagine, this truly damaged my mental health and for the following year, I did not feel like myself. It took countless hours from therapy and help from family to finally be able to feel like myself again. After therapy and quality time, I genuinely found myself again and was able to discover a new, happier version of myself. Reaching out for help is important, and is necessary to grow into a healthier form of yourself. Never have a person tell you that you don’t need help. Everyone does. Getting help makes you strong, not weak.
